According to intelligence information received by police, a group of individuals are planning a special event to mark this year�s yahrzeit of Moshe Rabeinu, a march into PA-occupied Yericho under the cover of darkness. Once inside the holy city, they plan to blow shofars and trumpets.

According to a Kikar Shabbat report, based on first-hand information from one of the organizers, they plan to march towards the Shalom Al Yisrael Shul in the city, with or without a military escort protecting them. �We are not afraid of arrests� they state, planning to �liberate the city�. The organizers are indicating the event is not approved.

Security officials tell a different story, explaining they have granted permits to enter Yericho in the past, adding they have granted a permit for Jews to enter this erev Rosh Chodesh Adar as well despite the risks involved.
