Kaliver Rebbe Shlita is Married in a Private Ceremony

After recently announcing his engagement, the Kaliver Rebbe Shlita was married on Lag B’Omer night to Moras Sheindel Malinik, 60, of Kiryas Herzog in Bnei Brak in a quiet private ceremony.

After making the decision to remarry the rebbe asked his gabbaim to find a quiet private place for the chupah, which they did. The rebbe insisted on absolute secrecy and discretion and the chupah was held under a veil of privacy. The chupah took place in Har Shmuel, which is affiliated with Rav Moshe Klein of Chinuch Atzmai, in the N’vei Yaakov area of the capital.

The rebbe davened maariv with his chassidim as usual, and then took part in the Lag B’Omer bonfire, concluding with the rebbe making a l’chaim with his chassidim. The rebbe left at 22:00, escorted by his closed aides, traveling to Har Shmuel where they were prepared and waiting.

Those present described the rebbe as “a burning fire” and added “he appeared to be in a higher place, in a different world”.

Among those present from the rebbe’s side were HaRav HaChossid Binyomin Kirshenbaum, HaRav Saltsburg from Belgium, as well as a close supporter who traveled to Eretz Yisrael from England to take part in the special simcha.

The mesader kedushin was HaGaon HaRav Yitzchak Zilberstein, mora d’asra of Ramat Elchanan in Bnei Brak and a son-in-law of Maran Posek HaDor HaGaon HaRav Yosef Sholom Elyashiv Shlita. Rav Zilberstein has maintained a very close relationship with the rebbe over the past decades.

At 02:00 the rebbe began singing Kaliv niggunim and “Sheyibanei Beis HaMikdosh” followed by the mitzvah dance with his kallah, for ten minutes.

When the historic event came to an end, the rebbe gave a bracha to all present, that they should merit all the brochos by the merit of the Rashbi ZY”A, mentioning parnasa, zivug and nachas from the children.

Those present were full of hakoras hatov for having merited participating in such a unique, holy and outstanding simcha.
