French Tzibur Preparing for Maran R’ Shteinman’s Shlita Visit

Maran HaGaon HaRav Aaron Leib Shteinman Shlita is set to travel to France on Sunday 15 Elul 5772 to give the local chareidi community chizuk before the Yomim Nora’im. The Rosh Yeshiva will travel from Eretz Yisrael in a private plane, and the cost is being underwritten by a philanthropist in France.

The visit will only last a few hours, beginning on Sunday morning. The rav will be hosted by קהילת היראים headed by HaGaon HaRav Yitzchak Katz, who also serves as rosh yeshiva of the Paris Yeshiva Gedola as well as head of Mosdos Yad Mordechai.

Thousands of members of the local frum community are expected to be on hand to hear the rav’s words. Rav Stern has told members of the local community that the visit of Rav Shteinman is a “historic event for Jews throughout France”.

The Rosh Yeshiva’s previous visit to France was a major news item, among Jews and non-Jews alike, announcing the arrival of “The biggest rabbi in the Jewish world”.
