I am sitting and looking out a large body of water (as I do every day), and for the first time this year, I see a boat.
Now, I have seen many small boats, yachts, day cruises, etc. But this one is a real freighter. I can tell it is really big, because I can see it and it is really far away.
This reminds me of the time I was in shiur, and outside the window, there was a huge bird one day, and then a freighter passed by also. We said that the soton came in a bird, and then in a boat.
But this boat is not the soton, since I am not learning anyway. So it must be just a boat. Funny how the same thing can be the soton or a boat.
Maybe this is just someone else’s soton. (But there are no yeshivos that overlook this area, so I don’t know whose it would be.)
are there any other frum people that overlook the water that might be learning then 🙂

We have our investigative crew scanning the country for a Starbucks next to a body of water.. Hold on, we’ll zero in. Take your coffee in the mean time.

Maybe a bird used to be your soton and then the boat but now this boat is coming to remind you about it even though your new soton has changed into a coffee room. 🙂

This poem is skimpy, much like a Speedo,
reminds me of ogden nashs poem
written in a time when billboards were proliferating along the highways (before todays sterile expressways).
i think that i shall never see
a billboard lovely as a tree
perhaps unless the billboards fall
ill never see a tree at all
from memory, may not be exact.

Not bad – I Googled your poem, and except for “Indeed” instead of “Perhaps”, you nailed it.
I never heard it before – it sounds a bit like the “Burma Shave” jingles (or maybe I’m just thinking that because of the word “billboard”).

I’m particularly fond of expressing myself in as many words as possible. I give myself extra points for redundancy and I give myself extra points for repetition.
i used to fish for gefiltes off the coast of Maine.

I also had my share of fishing heartaches! Im still trying to get Jar fish…never was sucessful.

speaking of jars, theres something wrong with my new car.
whenever i open my door the security system tells me that my door is a jar. i have no idea what that means but something is wrong.
hmmmm im stumped! Maybe omega 3 will help?
