ames, I’m sorry to inform you that GOL has been coined many times by many different people, long before 2009. Do a google search for gol = groan out loud, or gol (groan out loud). The only reason that it is not a known internet acronym is because it never caught on. So everyone who thinks of it thinks it is original.

The edit button is there in order to correct mistakes in your posts. It is not there as a way to slip things past moderation. Offenses will not be tollerated

Why not be straight with us? Say this instead: “The edit button is something that the software makes available. It is not our choice. We don’t want you to use it at all.”
