Welcome back. I also recently returned albeit part time.
How is you niece doing? (I think you posted a few months back that your sister had a girl.)
What gives is that the CR became… well… boring. There are two people involved in a convo, (as long as theres no mental illness involved), one cant have a shmooze on his/her own. Now that this place seems to be opening up a little, how is everyone doing?
dr. pepper: baruch hashem i can say this but which one? i am not sure how long i have been off but if it is the one i think it is she is quite precocious just like her other siblings were (since then baruch hashem i have had another niece and another nephew bli eiyen hara and my brother got married (though i think i posted about that during the summer) (by the way is this mr. dr. pepper? lol)

Well I finally got around to introducing myself in the new members thread… there were so many other interesting threads to check out first!
I’ve been reading the coffee room for too long, and just itching to reply to some of the posts (actually alot more then some!) So the time has finally come! To make a member account!
Sorry for the unoriginal name… couldn’t think of at… any ideas? maybe i’ll change it! 🙂

I just discovered this ancient thread. Check out the names. Some familiar. Many not.
Check out out the link on page 1 to the previous ywn site. Its fascinating. And we can see how long some posters have been around! This is the original old/new posters with joseph, Queen Kapusta with her unstuffed cabbage, yossi z, dr pepper, baron fritz, chofetz chaim, smartcookie etc etc etc. Too many to list.

To really make your name, what I found worked the best is, find those threads you enjoy the most and feel you could contribute to. Post in them for a Bit. Once you feel good and settled into the CR (or even just comfortable), if you want to spread out to other threads so you can get known by other posters than do so. I personally don’t see a reason to just stam spread out (I spread out because I have a wide range of interests)

is there a way to have my screen name changed without changing all the previous ones to the new name? I have had too many ‘close calls’and renaming the old ones would give me away. But if I reregister from the same IP with a new email I am afraid I will be accused of trying to have multiple screen names (as has happened already). Suggestions anyone? I couldn’t find the mods? mods? thread or I wouldve posted there.

Did you try looking? Its so simple. Click on my ‘Search CR for old threads’ thread which is stickied on the top of the main page, click on the url link, type in mods? mods? and click on search the coffeeroom. Its as easy as that. How did you try to find it?
Or is “guardmytongue” really “chofetzchaim” and he’s trying to fool us that he doesnt know his own link!!?

Hey you’re right and she didn’t announce she was leaving
maybe she doesn’t want to look dumb when she leaves and then comes back because she can’t stay away. Maybe she is busy with her own personal life like dating and stuff…. I’ll keep an eye on the Mazel Tov thread!
