when Moshiach comes how do you think you will hear about it?
I think I would first find out from ywn 😉
You’ll hear the Shofar loud and clear.
I always imagined I’m going to hear a shofar blowing (not on yamim noraim).

The Gemara in Eiruvin implies a possibility of Eliyahu identifying himself to the Beis Din Hagadol while others are unaware.

AS HaLeiVi said, Eliyohu haNovi shall appear 1 calendar day before the Moshiach arrives, and this will be the last chance ever, to repent, and not miss the boat.
I refer you to the 2nd last verse in all of Nevi’im and of Shabbos HaGodol Haftoro.
BTW note that in this verse, Elijah is written defective, i.e. minus the “Vov”, and hence that the correct Nussach in Birkas haMozon for HoRachamon Hu Yishlach Lonu Es Eliyoh haNovi is “minus the Vov” being that this prayer is based & formulated on this 2nd to last Possuk in Malochi.
Eliyahu Hanovi will announce Moshiaxh’s imminent arrival three days in advance. Moshiach can’t come on Erev Shabbos or Shabbos.
