an open book: wow seems kinda strange!!!
coke not pepsi: yeah i once thought that too, that their little siblings couldn’t pronounce their name!!! but a 50 year old lady, that goes by the name cookie is just creepy!!!
some people don’t tell their friends how old they are, and tell their family not to tell if asked. Just sayin’
syriansephardi: well i dont have their passport or w/e available to me. there is a way i MIGHT be able to find out, but rly, id rather not work around my friend w/o their permission. tho idk how long my self-control will hold out…
Asdfghjkl: ih I know a lady in her 50s and her name is cookie!!! She has a different name really but her grandchildren are also called cookie!!!! (By us we name after living or not living grandparents, the first girl is named after the husbands mother, first boy after husbands father, 2nd girl after mothers mother……)

I have a great aunt who we always called Aunt (insert nickname here) she was the youngest and her childhood nickname stuck with her for life. I even have her listed by her nickname in my cellphone. Her husband had a profession based nickname and was was known as that. I think I was in high school when I finally learned their real names.

i have a friend who legally changed her name whaen it came to shidduchim–she got rid of her English name…..but….she never told any of us she had an english name and the only reason we found out was bec when u change a name you have to legally put it into the paper –u know the things that no one reads well she put it one of the local papers that noone reads,but e/o gets for free in the mail and s/o must have been extremely bored bec they found it lol

Boy….not EVERYONE does it but I personally don’t know anyone who doesn’t!!! They might change the name a drop but that’s all. In my family the free names were grandparents names because that’s what my parents wanted to fo it made my great grandparents so happy and they were nice names!!
