a search button is desperately needed
Haifagirl- why does “than I” seem wrong to me. Wouldn’t it be more correct to say “than myself”?

Perhaps there can be a camp forum? Because there are currently 3-4 threads about camp in the coffee room, and they are all in different forums, making them very hard to locate.

Could somebody help me plese? Either I have been banned from main board, or there is a severe technical issue which has prevented my posts from appearing for about 2 months now. I also need to constantly relog in, whereas in the past, the system would remember me for long periods of time.

In the last 2 months you have 54 posts on the main board, the most recent one, other than this one, was 1 week ago. You do also have a number of deleted posts.
sounds as if you may have disabled cookies in your browser. Try going into the security settings and renabling them.

Thanks for looking into it, but I haven’t seen any of them. Maybe I am having a technical issue with cookies as somebody here said. Were those deleted posts deleted by me, or by the mods?

Dear Mods and Tech Support,
I realize I have been able to post in the Coffee Room. My problem is on the main YW news page. I believe I have not had a post that was put through in at least a month or two. Can you check on that and refer me to my latest post there? Just today I tried to post the following on the Rabbi Avi Weiss story, but do not see that it went through. I am wondering if I have been banned from there. I reposted it, but got the msg, “Duplicate comment detected. It looks like you have already said that.”
Please help and let me know what the problem is. If I have been banned, I fully accept it, but would at least like to know what is going on. I have recently installed a bunch of Windows Updates and checked my settings and do not see anything wrong.

If you didn’t receive a response, that probably was the response. I would suggest you try it again just to be sure.
Mod-80, I tried “Contact Us” again a few days ago and still no response that I can see. If there is a technical issue, it may prevent my “contact us” post from getting through, just as it has my regular news posts.
Could you please relay this to the staff at the main news board? I could be banned, but my CR post on the Haiti Earthquake was transferred to the main board as a Mailbag Letter, so I don’t believe that is the case. Today a simple post on the article of “No school on Shushan Purim” didn’t even make it. I don’t think a single post was put through for about 2 months. Please look into this, and have someone get back to me with some info. Should I make a new username?

I see the CR is getting “Taged” but I don’t see it being used on the Main CR page. Maybe, we can have a place to go to popular tags on the Main CR page?

Is there a way that we can know when our posts get put onto the CR. Here’s what I mean:
I write this post. I click submit. I see my post on my page. No one else does until it gets moderated. How do I know when everyone else sees my post? (and I don’t mean logging from my CR account). Maybe, the EDIT button can stay on until the post is moderated and then no more EDIT. This way, you solve the problem that Mod 99 said on the “New Moderating System” thread, and also alows us users to know when our posts are posted!

I don’t believe so. Such a feature has previously been suggested. I agree it would be very useful. It should be very easy to implement too.
Add a section on lomdus (similar to that in the Artscroll sefer A Daily Dose of Torah), and allow one to change their password to something they’ll remember.
rebdoniel: On top of the screen (in the coffee room) it says “Welcome, rebdoniel | Log Out”. Click on “rebdoniel” (your screen name) and then click “EDIT” on the top right of the screen. You can then change your password.

i would also like the posts to be numbered. when people refer back to old posts it’s sometimes hard to find which post they are referring to.
I would like a way to go directly to the last post of any thread. Here are my suggestions how it can be implemented:
Next to a thread name have a little symbol and by clicking it you’ll go directly to the last post.
Or by clicking on the number of posts which are already written after the thread name.
Or let each user set up his preference (also go to first or always go to last post)
And the last way is the most simple but least effective way is once the person entered a thread he’ll see a link to click so he can go directly to the last post whether its on this page or not.

The point would be to redt shidduchs between members in the CR.
d a, not neccessarily a whole new site. There could be a Shidduch section where people post a paragraph about a single with an email address to respond to. The YW editor can ask for references from all those desiring to post singles. It could be a very useful tool. I bet there are already accomplished Shadchanim who are regular CR members, who would be happy about this new addition, widening their horizons.
