yeah I would do the same, except I’d make sure to only tell after cuz I know from experience not to rely on any expectations. They don’t always happen.

joseph – it was only a second date. nothing serious at all, but i think he was trying to impress me. didn’t work :} anyway, he didn’t know but money makes me extra skeptical. people who flash money have to work extra hard to prove themselves to me. i dunno – that’s just how i am.
bored, you sound regretful that the learning guys take you to a lounge rather than a fancy restaurant.

i used to think i would mind hotel lobbies cuz my dad always made my brothers take girls out to restaurants on their first dates. but i honestly don’t mind them (IF the guy has personality)
From what I hear, the learning guys who are not full-time in yeshiva (I prefer not to say non-learning guys) go to Starbucks or the like instead of a lounge. Restaurants on a first meeting is unusual in our environment, right?

Squeak- Not on first dates. The guys I dated took me to lounges.. And yeah eating out on first dates isn’t the norm.. I would DIE if a guy would take me to a restaurant on a first date there is nothing worse than eating in front of a complete stranger! (IMNSHO)

and joseph – just for the record: i didn’t even want to go out with him – he was dying to date me forever and i finally gave in. and i stopped it cuz i knew he wouldn’t and i was so not marrying him and i didn’t wanna drag it out… now that i just revealed my entire life-story… happy?

Joseph, not regretful but just stating it as it is. I would rather sit and talk, c if he has personality then just go and watch each other eat…
So, back on topic…my friend who volunteers at the Jerusalem Zoo just told me that there was a small fire there last night and nearly all of the turtles died 🙁 They’re still trying to figure out if they’re going to give away the last remaining turtle to another zoo or import some more turtles to join him.
