Never mind that the show of “respect” does not always look genuine, in this time of measles outbreak among the Orthodox, and now hepatitis A in South Florida, let’s be more sanitary. Other ways can be employed to show deference to the riteous. Please!

At one of the Thursday evening Shiurim by Rav Avigdor Miller, Z”L, a question was sent up from the olam, “How do I stop my neighbor from talking in Shul?” Rav Miller’s answer? “Be quiet yourself.”
You pay dues because you live in and support your community. It’s not about what you get, it’s about what you give, Be responsible, do your part and be happy you live in a thriving Jewish neighborhood.
Respectfully, you all miss the point. We are already taxed too much. Giving the politicians more money will never satisfy them. How about trying to run the government on the money that they already take from us?

The Democrat platform sounds reasonable as far as it relates to Israel, nevertheless, we recently had a Democrat president. Either he never read or just disregarded the platform.
Does anyone remember when Israel was asking for loan guarantees to settle Russian Jews?
