    – So what? Since when is that a Jewish value? The American system of governement, however benificial it is to us, was made by Christians with the new testament (and a Christian interperation of the ‘old’ one). Him being pro-freedom doesn’t make him a good person, with values we respect.

    – How do you define ‘all the meshugas in the world’? Trump is a flamboyant baal gaava and was a prominent player in the entertainment industry – he is the meshugas going on in the world. If by ‘the meshugas in the world’ you mean that he diffrenciates between men and women (he’s punkt very squishy on those issues), why exactly is that a reason to think he’s a good guy? Society has been degenerate for thousands of years, American society has been unravelling for over a century, if he punkt is a bit misnaged on the latest utter retardation of society, that isn’t something that is impressive.

    – Oh, wow! He is pro it not being dangerous for kids on the street! What a guy!

    – Maybe he’s just a disgusting degnerate who is extremely flawed, and he doesn’t stop offering up things to write bad articles about?

    – You most definetly are. Even if everything you said is true, the 2 premises of your question are absurd.

Premise 1 (That there is an obsession with posting anti-Trump articles): Trump manages to keep himself in the news, so there will often be stories about him. And as he is a degenerate with no self control, they may often contain not-so=positive info about him.
Premise 2 (That if all your qualifications are met, we shouldn’t obsess about criticizing them): Why not? If you have a degnerate like Trump who is trying to run for president again, why shouldn’t one obsess about criticizing him and trying to prevent him from being nominated? Your scope of qualifications is extremely small-minded and corrupted by Conservative right-wing values (as opposed to the Torah which is Emes, and not partisan politics).

Well there is a bit of a conundrum, because the if one looks at the Israel issue as a nationalist issue (as the Zionists do), the Palestinians had there nation there first – the Zionists can’t be meyaches themselves to when we were there before we were sent into galus, because that was only altz Hashem, not some abstract nationalist idea of Jewish identity (chas veshalom) – and that causes them to have to be intellectually honest and realize that Zionism is a sham.

@Redleg Instead of saying with what seems to degree a degree of smugness and overconfidence in yourself that you’ll be magnanimous enough to be oleh regel, maybe say that when Hashem brings Mashiach you’ll look at Hashem and say ‘Ya no thanks, I’m staying right here.’

@Kuvult Right now it is October 5th 2023, at 8:15am. The profile of @Themom2022 says it was created 6 days 4 days ago, and the last activity was 5 days, 22 hours ago.

It would seem that the date the account was created on (6 days, 4 hours from the time I am posting this) would be Friday September 29th around 4am. And the last activity (5 days, 22 hours from the time I am posting this) would be Friday September 29th around 10am.

However, this is slightly complicated by the fact that the time and date @Themom2022’s post was posted is Sunday October 1st at 11:55pm (motzai yom tov). This would seem to contradict the last activity that is listed on @Themom2022’s profile. However, I would chalk this up to the post being made somewhere between 4am and 10am on Friday September 29th, but not being approved by a moderator untill Sunday October 1st at 11:55pm.

Other than this 1 post the account @Themom2022 has no other topics started and no comments or interactions.

Also, a cursory look at the website (<a href=”rubashkinhouse. com”) shows that they are around $700,000 into a $1M RaiseThon campaign – and they take Cashapp and Zelle, too! The website isn’t even their own website – it is just a standard-issue RaiseThon page, but with their own domain name.

And while this is billed as some community kitchen chessed type situation, this doesn’t even seem to be catering to poor familys or – its just a play for Lubavitchers who came to 770 and need somewhere to eat/stay to go. The page also displays images such as the pesukim about Hakhel next to a picture of the Lubavitcher Rebbe (trying to shtell coming to the rebbe/770 to the Yidden going to the beis hamikdash on the Shalosh Regalim r”l), and a message ‘hosting and caring for the rebbe’s guests is our communal responsibility’.

It doesn’t seem that this post was a ploy solely to make money, as they didn’t put any links or make any outright references to donating. So this would seem to be a psy-op by Lubavitchers to drag us down to Crown Heights and take our money and/or Yiddishkeit.

Also, it seems to be named the Rubashkin House for Moshe Rubashkin (the proprietor), but it has nothing to do with the famous Rubashkin (one would hope the naming isn’t a cynical ploy to attract non-Lubavitchers with a recognized name).

    A gutten moed!

Over here we encounter the odd conundrum that the longer you take trying to think of the answers to more questions, the lower your IQ is.

@50minusONE, I’m very sorry you are suffering through depression, but mima nafshach – if you are facing clinical depression, self-medicating with CBD tinctures probably isn’t a good solution. It would be much better to go to a professional and get their opinion on what the solution is. And if it isn’t clinical depression, and its the feeling (or middah) of atzvus, CBD tinctures aren’t going to take away the problem. It may be an environmental problem, a situation problem, a personality problem – or a combination of different factors – but CBD won’t solve any of those, at best it will just make it easier for you to address them. It won’t solve the problem – it will (probably temporarily) alleviate the symptom, which is depression.

    @SACT5
has some very good tips that would help – and add spending time in nature, or other things which allow you to clear your mind, relax, recharge, and maybe even think through your situation. But honestly either way, a counsellor-type situation would probably be very beneficial, to help you work through the problem and identify the problem(s) and solutions.

You should be zocheh to a refuah shelaima bikarov!

@lakewhut It would seem to be nothing more than a bit of an identity crisis, caused by them losing/questioning who they actually are due to their newfound money. Its not really a ‘stay in your lane’ vort, its more don’t let money corrupt your personal identity (or have a personal identity, so money won’t expose your lack thereof).
