Been doing it for months and I still get a kick out of it. Chase is faster than Citibank. Which bank are you using?

I’ve noticed this new phenomenon in Flatbush and Lakewood lately. Boys wearing white shirts and black pants and jackets are wearing colored socks…not gray. I’ve seen orange, red, purple, stripes and argyle. I guess they just want to express their individuality

I find that chassidish men over the age of 45 speak a pretty good English because in those days the schools taught secular subjects and the teachers knew their stuff

I am 50 years old and I also always hesitate before I say right or left. I have an excellent sense of direction but I do sometimes say “left” when I’m pointing right (the direction I point it always correct – I know what I mean). It never occurred to me that there might be something wrong with me. I also say the wrong word sometimes but that’s usually because I’m already thinking of something else…wonder if it’s related. My kids do find it entertaining though

The booklet doesn’t mention anything about a filter for a windows phone. Does anyone know of one?

I have it and I do like it. I didn’t notice any slowing down of the computer. I don’t find the setup very difficult either. If it blocks something that I don’t want blocked it wasn’t difficult to change. I like that you can shut down the internet overnight or whatever hours you want. Best of all my teenagers haven’t yet figured out how to get around it.

There was a story about this in the Ami magazine a few weeks go by Yitta Halberstam Mandelbaum. The same thing happened to her. Seems there is someone wandering around Brooklyn (did it happen anywhere else?) giving out pens to aveilim

Some stores leave the milk outside for a while before putting it into the fridge.

I have a front loader washer and dryer for 4 years now. It’s true that they use less energy and you can put large items in the washer. The problem is that if you need service all the parts are extremely expensive! I just had a repair guy a few weeks ago and he said unless you must have these huge machines he doesn’t recommend them because the parts and labor are so expensive.

I think handwriting is very popular in Israel. I personally know someone who did this and after she got divorced she found out that the handwriting sample she got wasn’t even written by her ex! If you believe in it and want to get it right you better make sure that the writing is witnessed..

When I was in shidduchim for my son people used to use the word “balabatish” a lot. I found that if I asked 5 people what balabatish means I got 5 different answers. I found that the best thing to do with labels is to ask the user to define the term. Like this you will know what you’re talking about.
