Think about what a girl needs to do to be a better girl, and what a boy needs to do. The answer is obvious.

Girls just don’t have the Yetzer or the Mitzvos that Boys have.

gavra thats quite true. If you look at the list of people a child is told to approach if lost you’ll see they are all women- a mother with kids… a woman with a man…. a woman alone.. a man is a last resort- for areason obviously.

Its kind of different to say someone is a Mexican than to say they r a Jew. Would u think it embarrasssing for someone to say the Chineses behind the counter or the Canadian? Theres nothing derogatory about calling someone what they are; especially since most Mexicans in America are not citizens- therefore what is derogatory about mentioning where they come from?

The main disadvantage of the Canadian system, as applied to the US, would be massive unemployment among the paper-pushers at private insurance companies. But we would be spending much less for health care and likely get better outcomes.

charliehall that is not really true. Healthcare in Canda is alot worse than it is here. Someone I know from Canada visited a doctor’s office here in the US and was amazed by our care. It was so much faster and more efficient than the care Canadians are used to. Personal interest, the profit motive, and competition- on the part of both healthcare providers and insurance companies is always going to work better than government bureacracies.

There is no reason why you shouldnt vote for a woman. There is also no reason why you SHOULD vote for a woman. In other words being a woman has nothing to do with being a good president, the same way there is no reason to vote for a Black just to vote for a minority. If you think someone would make a good president then vote for them, regardless of gender, race, nationality, or any other completely unnecessary diversion from the issues. There have been many female leaders throughout history who have done exemplary jobs in running their countries. There is no reason why a female president today couldnt do the same.

”I’m very concerned about the international moves they’re making, particularly … moving the United States off the dollar and onto a global currency, like Russia and China are calling for.”

what are those … in the middle for? Apparently if you would leave the words they stand for in it would make the statement sound alot better. Additionally, the statement makes alot of sense so I am not sure why you are using it as proof that she is a dolt. Have you never heard of anyone calling for a global currency?

Apparently you got that list of sayings from a liberal anti-Bachmann website since that list is all one liners taken completely out of context. i know the mainstream media like to portray female republicans as dolts, which they actually do quite a good job of. People dont bother looking further than those one lines taken way out of context. For example, your 1st line of “proof” “Carbon dioxide is portrayed as harmful. But there isn’t even one study that can be produced that shows that carbon dioxide is a harmful gas.” That line was taken, I beleive, from a speech where she was explaining how fraudulent the whole global warming concept is and how the liberals twist data and make things up. As far as I was able to able to tell she was simply refuting the claim of liberals that carbon dioxide contributes to global warming- in other words it is portrayed as harmful TO THE ENVIROMENT- which is no proof of. I am unfamiliar with the context of the other quotes, but I beleive that if you would see them in their entirety they would look alot different.

Pac-Man Aside from the gender issue, she is a dolt.

Earlier: Pac-Man I’m simply saying a woman’s place is not in the public arena.

So is your problem the fact that she is a dolt or is it the fact that she is a woman? You seem to be changing your mind on this issue. Furthermore do you have any reasons to say that she is a dolt? Do you even know what her stand on any issues are?

No, I’d rather Mitt Romney than this dumbell.

Do you think she’s a dumbbell just because she’s a woman? Or for a reason? If you have a reason then her being a woman has nothing to do with it. So there is no reason to drag it in.

A woman’s place is not in the public arena.

When you vote you are supposed to vote for the candidate you think will do a good job running this country. To say a woman cant do a good job in nonsensical, but apparently that is not what you are saying. What youre saying is you wont vote for a woman whether she is the best candidate or not, whether she can do a good job or not, even whether you agree with her policies or not. You just wont vote for her because shes a woman. Somehow that doesnt seem to make too much snese.

I don’t vote for women in public office.

Why not? Who cares if they are a woman or a man? What you should want in a politiican has to do more with what their policies are than who they are. Not voting for Bachman just because she is a lady, is sort of like voting for Obama just because he is a Black, which is stupid. If you disagree with her policies fine that makes sense. But if you dont like her just because shes a lady that’s kind of discriminatory. And yes it is Bachman.

It doesnt seem like a doctor really has to use his brain that much on a regular day to day basis. After all, he hopefully knows enough already that it doesnt take too much brainpower for him to make diagnosis. Of course it takes a lot of brains to become a doctor, but in the actual work it doesnt seem to take very much.

    aries2756

How exactly do any of the jobs i described use any brains? They use peolpe skills for sure but that isnt intellectual. Im talking about having to think in a job- intellectual stimulation- and it doesnt seem like too many jobs have much of that.

it is better social skills to listen more than talk. If you would read Dale Carnegies book How To Make Friends and Influence People, you will see this is a very common thread in there. Like he says no one is really interested in what you have to say they are interested in what they have to say. So if you listen to others with real interest you will make them like you. And of course if you listen to other people you will learn alot more than if you spend all your time talking- in which case you will not learn anything at all. So quiet people can often seem alot smarter than other people because they know so much more.
