Wow! There sure are a lot of cold callouse people on this thread. Shocking! And you call yourself Reb? Shame! What stupididy and lack of decency!
“cherrybim” – A shower does not render a person “Tahor”. IF there is no choice one should at least take a shower so to have 9 kavin, but it is not a mikve. Also there are 2 reasons for mikve erev YOM KIPPPUR, one is for tahara and one is for tshuva. You are not yotzai teshuva with a shower.
One of my rebeeim Harav Refael Green A”H said that the Gra did go to the Mikva on Shabbos. The Stypler Gaon ZL stood in front of a fan on Shabbos after the Mikve to dry himself. Hagan HaRav Moshe Feinstein ZL held ( in egros moshe) that drying ones head lightly with a towel is mutar.
