It’s very easy and inexpensive to self-publish these days through Amazon or other self-publishing providers.

I know someone who has a nasty habit of hanging out in popular frum dating lounges to take in how many dates he can spot.

Lubliner: You couldn’t be more incorrect. 1) You are making a whole host of assumptions to assume everything is kosher 2) the same knife could be used for other non-kosher food items 3) even if there are some local municipal board of health requirements on utensil usage, they are infrequently enforced, and when they are the penalties are extremely light, and the bar can and will get away with whatever they do and consider a $75 ticket a business expense 4) the first lemon is not batul bshishim if that’s the lemon you get.

Yussel: Yungerman from Lakewood is correct.

Nothing was done differently for this levaya than was done by Rav Eliashev’s levaya. Where were you then?

They are not in the habit of publishing statements on petiras.

Lakewood and Monsey didn’t close down when Rav Eliashev was niftar. What more exactly do you want here?

Chacham Ovadia Yosef zt’l was a great godol, but he was the mora d’asra of the Sephardic community not the Ashkenazic community. So there is a difference in that regard too.

I can’t tell you how it’s bad, since I don’t know, but I can tell you that it is very bad and no one wants to end up there. Whatever satisfaction someone will get for any aveira, gehenem is 100s of times more painful than whatever one gained.

And under normal circumstances the maximum punishment one can get is 11 months in gehenem.

They’ve been saying all that for the last four generations. The predicted date for the apocalypse keeps getting postponed every time it’s missed. Both the number of students and the number of benefactors keeps going up while the doomsayers keep going down.

I haven’t heard of the system collapsing at any time in the past 40 years. But I have heard predictions of a collapse for over 40 years.

Sam: At least nail biting and hair pulling should be considered a shinui, as they’re not the normal way to cut nails or hair.

This discussion is resolving around cases (such as the op) where the person was originally frum and then dumped halacha. So there’s no tinok shenishba or issue of him having been unaware of what chillul shabbos was or constituted. He was well aware having previously been shomer shabbos himself. Thus he has no such excuses for constantly violating such a severe prohibition.
