The Rambam you’re referring to though is in Hilchos Brachos, Perek Aleph Halacha Daled

The one i just mentioned is at the end of Hilchos Sefer Torah (Mezuzah) Perek Vav

The Rambam at the end of Hilchos Mezuzah says something along those lines about why we have mezuzahs. Was always my favorite Rambam.

Great story bpt, i’ve read it before; love it every time.

adorable, I think the point of bpt’s story is that girls are much more emotional and willing to discuss their dating lives with their friends than boys are. It also shows they can take it way past the point the boys are. If boys do discuss it, which i happen to know quite a few don’t, it’s only for the sake of ‘hock’.

That’s the question. Is this halachically considered socializing?

“Also – you failed to address my point that this Chazal only means when walking along a path – do not walk behind a woman; show me where it says that this Chazal also applies when going through a doorway.”

Why should would walking through a door be better than walking down a path?

It would all depend on the type of exposure to Judaism, and the lifestyle i would be leading beforehand, and/or religiousness previously. I would like to think i would, of course

Learn something you enjoy, and with someone you would enjoy learning it with (or with yourself if that’s better). Its Chag Matan Toraseinu, and you should be doing it in a way that will make you feel most connected to it.
