To always here:
I am glad that the company is finally taking action to finally dismiss one of their employees for making anti-semitic comments. It is sad that it took a video on uTube to make them take responsibility. It is too bad that Dior and Louis Vuitton don’t take similar actions against their (not so famous) employees and managers.March 3, 2011 4:07 am at 4:07 am in reply to: Did anybody see the anti-semetic Christian Dior designer? #746698
John Galliano, the head designer for Christian Dior, was arrested for anti-semitism a couple days ago.
Louis Vuitton owns Christian Dior.
Christian Dior’s top designer was just ARRESTED in France for an anti-semitic assault!
Just put a lit on it
There are a couple journalists following the case.
My friend know one of them. He said that there was some kind of judgment hearing where Louis Vuitton was trying to get the lawsuit kicked out of court.
My friend said that there were a whole bunch of lawyers from Louis Vuitton and one of them mentioned that being Jewish is a lifestyle choice like being a vegan and that the lady who is suing should not have any special kind of protection.
I am getting hungry!
oh yes. Somebody asked what state the Louis Vuitton law suit is in?
There are a couple against the Beverly Hills Louis Vuitton Store (in California).
People who act like they are better than other people.
oops .. I meant to say that it was NOT enforced on all employees. (People who were friendly with the manager didn’t have to work Saturdays).
There was a similar case against Vonage, too.
For what it’s worth, it looks like making employees work every Saturday can equal discrimination.
In the case of Louis Vuitton, the person who is suing had worked at the company a long time and had been allowed to take time off work for temple. Then an Iranian lady became the new manager. The Iranian Lady had a problem with the employee taking time off for temple and apparently made comments that offended the Jewish employee.
Nest thing, the Jewish employee calls the company’s headquarters in New York. After that the manager learns about the employee’s phone call and then institutes a policy requiring the Jewish employee to work every Saturday. This policy allegedly was enforced on all employees.January 26, 2011 12:16 am at 12:16 am in reply to: Is it unTznius for a girl to ride a bike, razor, ATV? #817168
I have seen girls and women wearing”skorts” — which are a combination of shorts and skirts — or tights under the skirts (especially in Europe where it is cold).
