    Sam Klein,
    Yes, that is exactly what we should be doing now during the month of elul. Not discussing Dr. Doomstein and midos alerts. We destroyed the beis hamikdash and now we should be doing our job by working on our midos bein adam lachavero and to do tshuva. iy”H with all our efforts on repairing our averos we can bring the beis hamikdash bimheirah viyameinu.

    Raboisai,
    Can I request of the oilum that we should stick to topics that can engross the oilum and not cause people to fight with each other, and to not prompt others to fight with each other or cause people to have a taava to send a comment that isn’t so nice. Shkoyach.

    So can we follow in the ways of Dr. Doomstein and do Teshuva by working on our midos bein adam lachaveiro even though it is on the internet. Can we limit the Lashan Hara, and add more conversations that are useful and that we can bring klal yisrael together through?

    @common saychel
    I asked the question very generally to get all the different opinions in. If I was asking a halachah lemaysah question I would have spoken it out. (Also, my name is Shnuky)

    @commonsachel
    “this whole thread is puzzling to me, do you go up to random strangers in the street and ask for medical advice? do you want around with cash and go up to some random person and ask him to invest it for you? then why ask a halacha lmishya question to a bunch of ramdom people online instead of asking your rav who paskens your shalos.”

    I wasn’t asking this halchic shayla for a halacha lemaysah response; neither did I intend on making a heated discussion. I simply asked this becasue I was curious the oilum’s look on this popular topic of halacha and the different minhagim that people have.

    Besides, I enjoyed the first dvar torah:

    The gematria of זכר is ברכה

    The gematria of הבת is ארור

    Thank you for giving me good laugh 🙂
