I am bumping up this post because I would also like their contact information. According to the stories in their book, they advise girls and boys in shidduchim.

I will be working the full day tomorrow at my job as a front desk receptionist from 8 till 5. Any tips on how to observe tisha bav in such a setting? Ive never worked on tisha bav before so Im at a lost. I want to feel the mourning and make it a meaningful day. Help anyone?

Also, part of my job is sitting on a chair at the front desk. Is that okay?

I am a BY graduate who does not mind going out with a YU type guy, but there aren’t any in my community. Everyone just assumes that I want a learning guy and thats all I get set up with. Its no wonder I am 21 and still have not gone out on one date. I tell them I want a working guy, and they respond with, “Well, he’s planning to work eventually. Maybe in a couple of years.” I guess it really is hard to find a working boy because I have had no luck whatsoever.

I am planning to do Yamlyam as well. Do you suggest it for females? How was it?

Other things I suggest for a overnight hike is protein bars… really fills you up when you don’t feel like making a meal. And toilet paper!!!!!!!!

I am not the original poster, but I have some of the problems listed above. I have been back from seminary for almost two years and have not gone out on one date. I have spoken to a few shadchanim and just a few suggestions would come up, but i would just find an excuse not to go out with them. I want to get married very badly, but I am petrified to begin dating. I don’t know how to speak to guys and I don’t have any mentors to speak to throughout the process. I guess I just need a pep talk to get me through the anxiety before the first date.
