I personally think the new version is much slower. –

The bar on top is nice, but takes up uneccesary space. –

The zoom in feature seems to have been taken away. –

The coffee room is still not optimized for mobile, and now with out the zoom, it is very hard to read/type. –

I uninstalled it and reloaded the old one.

Hopefully next time YWN will make it better.

    NOT TRUE!

Take for example the one around purim time about that rabbi from Iran. I know many of you here wouldnt know the difference but that rabbi who they interviewed (on the front cover) wasnt even a rabbi, never mind the chief rabbi of Iran!!! A simple google search can tell you that!! That man has issues apparently and was duped by the zman to believe his story when simple 30 second reseach would have proven them wrong. The Iranian community was in an uproar about it an the zman refused to respond.

    2) many of their articles are taken straight form movies, i.e. the appolo story printed in the pesach issue.

Hey azar777, u say ur from Tehran Iran

Did you read that article in the zman before pesach about the rabbi from iran? It sounded not true cuz if you reasearch it a little u see the chief rabbi was someone else. Can you verify for us who the rabbis were?

(lost my trust in zman article, honestly im prob not the only one)

i usedto have it on my Blackberry and then my BB got erased, and when i tried looking for it again i couldnt find it. I did some research and aparently google has gotten rid of the gvoice app for blackberry and now is only availible on Andriod and maybe iPhone (they did it as a way to get people to switch to andriod

anyway,i found that someone posted a link to it on crackberry . com (the famous BB blog ) but when i tried downloading it it didnt work. other people there claimed it worked on their BB so try it.

go to crackberry . com and search for the conversation about gvoice

you should be zoche to 8 kids,

no yeshiva can turn you down because you have no money

emuna and bitachon, you have the kids and Hashem will take care. I have yet to see jewish children dropping dead of starvation.

No, we are supposed to think ” what can we learn from this guy” positive and negative. In donald case I would say the negative. Trump has a lot if money but there are richer people than him that aren’t as famous, some even unheard of. My point is, that Donald will do anything to make him more famous , more popular, even though he has no special qualities he can attribute them to. He hasn’t added to society nor invented anything useful to be worthy the popularity that he seeks. Except he made some money and feels “its all me!”

Case in point: Gayva. We should aknowledge that our financial state is G-d given and if we’re rich we shouldn’t demand more Kavod and prestige.

“If that were the way we paskin today, we would have to ban many Jewish frum concerts and events which are held in theaters and sporting arenas; i.e., siyum hashas, chazanus concerts, YBC, MBC, graduation ceremonies, etc.”

Who said we dont pasken like that? Yes maybe it is assur to go to a jewish concert,

im not paskening but why is it not in the geder of the rashi quoted eirlier?

    lesschumras;

you cannot be more wrong. it all depends on the childs outlook that was taught to him by his parents and rabbeim on why you cannot go to theaters and the likes.(which is realy a subject on its own.)

“He understood that his daughters future and happiness was not dependent solely on the boy’s level of learning or yeshiva resume but on the person he is.”

    well said.

If only people enternelized that point more, we would probably see happier couples and more married singles.

the problem is that SOME people are in it for the sheim only.

sometimes there are distractions from a person that cause him not to be ” into learning” and therefore he wont develop a cheishek to learn,

I dont know you personally, or your matziv , and your age definetly plays a factor

In order to develop a cheishek to learn one has to learn (as your rebbi quoted from the chofetz chaim) even when he has no cheishek because if he really puts himself out to it it will eventully come, but it wont come easy, but when it comes you will appreiciated alot more.

Lets be clear. a person can want to learn, that doesnt mean he has no yezter hora telling him not to.

depends what the problem is, is it that you cannot follow? then maybe a chavrusa more for your level is neccecary

if you just dont have a cheishek to learn then speak to your rebbi for help, dont be afraid Ain HAbayshon lomaid.

and if u just space out , well as rav avgdor miller says, ” no one spaces out while eating ice cream”

unless of course there is a real problem i.e. ADD etc

    no no no.

jewish movies are plain wrong . this concept of “going out with a friend to the movies” is as goyish as is comes regardless of the content of the movie. it is straight up BECHOKSEYHEM LO SEILEICHU and rashi there even says that the posuk is refering to going to theaters like the goyim and places of sports and the likes.

now if your question is regarding watching a jewish movie in your house at your own screen, this is already depends on your hashkafa of these things. but the latter is a posuk, unargueable
