We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Besseye Schwartz A”H, (Bassia Ita bas Zvi Dov), on Tuesday evening in Har-Nof, Israel.

Mrs. Schwartz was the mother of Assemblymember Rhoda S. Jacobs, of Midwoods 42nd District for over 30 years.

Assemblywoman Jacobs currently serves as part of Speaker Sheldon Silver’s leadership team as Assistant Speaker.

Rhoda, her sister Abbe (Motty)Blumenthal will be sitting Shiva at their mother's home in Harnof at 60/4 Hai Taieb.
