We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Besseye Schwartz A”H, (Bassia Ita bas Zvi Dov), on Tuesday evening in Har-Nof, Israel.

Mrs. Schwartz was the mother of Assemblymember Rhoda S. Jacobs, of Midwoods 42nd District for over 30 years.

Assemblywoman Jacobs currently serves as part of Speaker Sheldon Silver�s leadership team as Assistant Speaker.

Rhoda, her sister Abbe (Motty)Blumenthal will be sitting Shiva at their mother's home in Harnof at 60/4 Hai Taieb.
