BREAKING: Rick Santorum Drops 2012 Campaign For President

Rick Santorum will drop out of the presidential race Tuesday afternoon, a campaign consultant told The Hill, essentially guaranteeing Mitt Romney the GOP nomination.

Santorum will announce that he is suspending his campaign at an event in his home state of Pennsylvania — his first public appearance following the release of his daughter from the hospital and after he took a break from the campaign trail for a long Easter weekend.

A slew of primary losses made it harder for him to catch Romney in the delegate count and it follows a meeting the former Pennsylvania senator had with conservative leaders last week to discuss his path forward.

Former Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) and Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) remain in the race but they, too, are unlikely to catch Romney in the race for delegates. It takes 1,144 to clinch the GOP nomination. The former Massachusetts governor has 661 delegates, according to a count by the Associated Press. Santorum has 285, Gingrich has 136 and Paul has 51.

So, If Santurom would have won the Republican nomination and assuming the Presidency, then we don’t need Moshiach, what a stupid comment

  3. Actually, its great news that his guy has dropped out since his evangelical beliefs ultimately were bad news for yidden. His effort to insert his own extreme values on the American political system was a complete failure and his rejection by the voters speaks for itself. I personally look forward to a campaign where the candidates will focus on really important issues like the economy, jobs, health care and national security and the American people will have two clear alternatives. I also have no doubt that Obama will beat Romney by a fairly wide margin (8-10 percentage points) and Mark Levin and Milhouse will announce here first that they are moving to Uzbekezstan (since they have nothing good to say about the government of EY either)
