Kallah In Southern Israel: “I’ve Been Crying All Morning” – Israeli Weddings In South Canceled

Due to the security situation in the south, the Home Front Command gave instructions to cancel all events on Tuesday, including weddings. Due to this, a large number of couples who were supposed to get married on Tuesday evening in Israel’s south received messages that their weddings will not be held as planned.

An employee of Radio Darom, Efrat Elhadad, who is supposed to get married Tuesday evening in a hall near Ashkelon, told Chabad reporter Mendi Rizel: “They canceled my wedding. I’ve been crying all morning. But I’m getting married – it doesn’t matter where.

Rizel requested assistance from his followers on Twitter to help Efrat find a place for her wedding. “Do you have a suggestion for a hall for Efrat Elhadad and [her chassan] Eliran, who are supposed to get married tonight next to Ashekon?” he wrote.

  1. “With all respect, I can understand a kallah’s disappointment but there are lives at risk from these rocket attacks and entire families with small children have had their lives disrupted for the umpteenth time. An engaged couple can find a rav to be mesader kidushin in a bomb shelter if they feel its that urgent. Otherwise, just daven on behalf of the tzibur at large and reschedule your simcha for a future date when the security situation has settled down a bit.
