Napolitano: Airport Shoe Checks Getting The Boot

The inconvenience of taking off your shoes while going through airport security may soon be over.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano predicted yesterday that passengers will eventually be able to keep their shoes on while going through the screening process.

Napolitano says the Transportation Security Administration is moving toward an intelligence and risk-based approach to screening.

Napolitano said lifting the 3-ounce restriction on liquids in carry-ons will likely be one of the last changes travelers will see.

  1. Although many may be happy about his, did Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano forget about the stunt that sent shoe bomber Richard Reid to prison?

  2. 1. Your problem & Janet Incompitano’s problem is that you are REactive as opposed to PROactive. Had he tried blowing up his keylim, would you be willing to to walk around the airport on your birthday suit? If you are, YOU ARE NUTS!

And as a traveler, the 3oz rule is absolutely crazy too!!

  3. mark levin, the problem is and I am sure you are familiar with it, is that the American airlines DO NOT profile. El Al does with race being only one criteria. But, I am very afraid it will take another 9/11 for the Amreican public to wake up.

  4. Her prediction that you will be able to keep your shoes on, is based on prayer that all the terrorists will just go home, and it won’t be needed.

  5. 3. I said the same thing obviously not clear enough. I will point out that the airline DOES NOT conduct security, it is the TSA made up of – for seemingly the most part – a bunch of power trip starving goons.

Yes, we need to use brains when looking for the bad stuff by looking at the bad people and we know who they are.

Ok libs, time to come out of the closet now.
