Bloomberg Does Not Want To Be President, Or So He Says

The following is from Politico:

While some folks hem and haw over their 2012 intentions, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg definitely does not want to be your next president.

As a guest on Tuesday’s installment of “The View,” Barbara Walters said, “There are people who seem to be dissatisfied with candidates on both sides and they say maybe it’s time for an Independent. Any possibility that you would consider this?”

Without skipping a beat, Bloomberg answered “No.”

After Babs gave him a hard time for his short answer, he said, “I have a great job, I look forward to going in every day.”

Then, showing that independent spirit, he added, “No matter what your political persuasion is, we have to get behind President Obama and solve the problems today and let the election play out a year from now. This country can’t go another year where everybody is trying to keep things from working.”

And with that, a lot of clapping and amening ensued.
