In an apparent attempt to garner votes from the hateful and ignorant, Thomas Lopez-Pierre, a candidate for the New York City Council, has been promoting the notion that “greedy Jewish landlords” are the enemy of Black and Hispanic residents of the district he seeks to represent, the 7th.

His strategy and his words are ugly and abhorrent, and an insult to every New Yorker, indeed to all civil citizens.
