SUSPECT KILLED: Shooting Suspect ID’d As James Hodgkinson – Hardcore Bernie Sanders Supporter

The shooter at the GOP congressional baseball practice this morning is James T. Hodgkinson of Belleville, Ill., according to law enforcement officials. Hodgkinson, 66, owns a home inspection business. His home inspection license expired in November 2016 and was not renewed, state records show.

Hodgkinson was charged in April 2006 with battery and aiding damage to a motor vehicle, according to online records in St. Clair County, Illinois. The charges were dismissed, records show.

Hodgkinson has an active Facebook page which features a photo of Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders at the top and political posts throughout.

The Illinois man littered his Facebook page with political photos and commentary. A sample: He wrote recently, “Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.”

Hodgkinson’s Facebook page contains multiple photos of him.

Hodgkinson filled his Facebook page with political posts, many of them focused on Bernie Sanders. His cover photo is of Bernie.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Wednesday condemned the shooting by a gunman who had volunteered for his presidential campaign, calling the attack that wounded House Majority Whip Steve Scalise a “despicable act.”

“I have just been informed that the alleged shooter at the Republican baseball practice is someone who apparently volunteered on my presidential campaign,” Sanders said in a statement. “I am sickened by this despicable act. Let me be as clear as I can be. Violence of any kind is unacceptable in our society and I condemn this action in the strongest possible terms.”

  1. It goes from harassing people on the streets wearing Trump t-shirts, to attacking the President’s family on planes, to shooting Republicans. The violence by the Left knows no bounds.

  2. It is all Trump’s fault. With his hate he is responsible for provoking innocent peace loving people to acts of violence.

  3. This is not President Trump’s fault, but the result of a lot of the media, and social media that paints him as such a horrible person. The media still cannot believe Clinton lost ,and refuse to consider Trump as President. All their incitement, evil pictures, and hurtful characterization is what contributed to this guy attempting political murder.
To say Trump is responsible for this is ignoring reality, and being very shallow. These are scary times in the USA,and this call for Trump’s head has to stop.
Protest all you want and demonstrate, but to incite hatred that will lead to murder should never be accepted anywhere.

  4. After what happened today,I do not find any of these so called jokes and barbs aimed at the President helpful at all.
This is no laughing matter anymore.
If the President did do something illegal, let him go on trial.
But until then, what gives the social media the right to vilify him so badly that people would want to kill him and his party??
All this hatred has to stop, before there is yet another attack.,and let us pray for the government to be at peace,as written in the פרקו אבןת,for if not, there will be total chaos in our society, and who would want that????
