  1. the person that took this video is a big nose mind your own business & move on get a life & I don’t know why this is news @YWN

  2. rav avigdor miller said a klal , that when the torah describes a person in chumash the description is his essence ” yakov ish tam, esav ish tzayid… “chom” was vayare chom he was a ” looker” nosy yenta we have become like that …
second point is the sekulener rebbe pointed out that its not a coincidence that “clips” and kelippos are so similar in shoresh not that every clip is a klippa of tumah ….
finally rechilus is from the word rochil to peddle ..as a peddler goes from person to person pushing his wares so ywn passing and broadcasting what at best is a personal tzarah that doesn’t need to add insult and busha … hopefully its not mishelanu all the above points i mean myself as well

  3. The other day I took a video of a squirrel eating an avocado. No further information is available.

How do I submit this video to YWN to be posted on the front page?

  4. YWN Editor:

I’m not sure what you were thinking when you posted this. I don’t live in Flatbush and don’t know whose house this is, but I do know that this is lashon hara (unless you know the subject was not Jewish). How can I peruse your website in the future without exposing myself to potential l”h?

Those who read this and live in the neighborhood are now informed that the FBI raided this person’s house, which constitutes a g’nai.

There is no to’eles here. If the point was to raise awareness of misdeeds and the potential for being caught by the FBI, there was no need to include the location. One of the conditions for toeles is that no more gnai be created than what was necessary to accomplish the toeles.

Please recognize the achrayus you bear. In the future before posting any story consider whether you would post it if the story was about you. Also consider the ramifications to family members of the subject of the story.

Remember, you are not secular journalists. The Torah does not recognize a “right to know.”

  5. Maybe whoever recorded this was concerned that another Yid might be in danger and wanted others to be aware of whats going on? I mean its not a normal thing to get a house call from the FBI.

  6. I’m not sure if I prefer the approach of YWN when it comes to these issues but iceratainly prefer it to the whitewashing of every negative topic affecting the frum community that goes in in other jewish websites which apparently prefer to sweep every issue under the rug pretending that nothing bad ever goes in in the frum community. Denial is worse than fessing up to our internal issues since denial prevents us from resolving them. Kudos YWN for trying to report the truth. Other websites, take note, you’re gunna go down if you don’t change your ways now!

  7. Read carefully what lol says: “I live on the block. There is NO lashon hara issues about this house. Vehamayivin yavin.” If that is the case, given that lol seems quite calm and sensible and has a chezkas ne’emonus with me unless the opposite can be proved – and I have zero idea who he/she is – YWN published this as news of what is going on in one of our frum neighborhoods. No problem in that. If it had been the house of a Yid he might be happy that there is an independent record of how the FBI operated. Not of course that it should be on YWN. I guess the person who took the video is local, knows who the house belongs to and decided there are no issues in publishing it. I doubt most goyim send in video clips regularly to YWN!

  8. YWN appears to be desperate for news.
By posting a completely an informative clip which doesn’t even show much of the raid or arrest. With a zero description of what went on (reason for the raid etc) , what we see on that clip. Totally redundant in my view!

  9. It would be pointless to speculate if any criminal activity was taking place at the location but it reassuring to see the fbi and other law enforcement agencies working hard to keep our neighborhoods safe. Thanks for sharing.

  10. YWN relies on advertisers to keep them in business. The only way to attract clicks to the site is to report about news that will get the oilam koching so it chooses to report these types of stories so the advertisers can see the traffic volume recorded in the metrics thereby continuing to advertise thereby filling the pockets of YWN with cash. It’s all business. Now what will happen after 120 with them is a whole different story. Money doesn’t talk in oilam haeemes

  11. A reverse lookup of the house in question indicates a family name that Ancestry dot com indicates comes from Lancashire, England. The meaning “the meaning may have been either ‘village with a priest’ or ‘village held by the Church”.

Doesn’t sound like a Steinberg, Goldberg or Iceberg.

Believe it or not, the FBI does raid houses of people who are not MOT.
