VIDEO: Serial Burglar In Boro Park On The Loose; NYPD Offers Reward For Info


The NYPD has announced a reward and IS asking for the public’s assistance in identifying individual depicted in the attached video and photograph in connection to a series of burglaries in Boro Park the past few weeks.

The following are four burglaries that police have connected the same suspect in:

On Tuesday September 25, 2018, (second day of Sukkos) at approximately 1:30AM, the burglar broke into the Belz Shul located at 1350 39 Street. He gained entry into the location by forcing open a rear door. Once inside, the individual grabbed two silver Sefer Torah crowns and fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Just an hour later, at approximately 2:20AM, the same suspect broke into 4605 13 Avenue (JDN Marketing), where the individual stole $10,000 in cash, a cellphone and a hard drive. He gained access by forcing open a rear window.

On Saturday October 6, 2018, at approximately 1:22AM, the suspect struck again – this time at a commercial establishment at 3905 15 Avenue. He once again gained access to the premises by forcing open a rear window. Once inside, the individual removed $10,000 in cash and fled the scene. The footage below is from this location.

Finally, on Monday October 8, 2018, at approximately 4:20AM, the suspect broke into the Seret Vizhnitz shul at 4811 13 Avenue, where he proceeded to ransack numerous lockers; it’s yet to be determined if any property was removed.

The individual is a light-skinned male, last seen wearing white gloves, a black sweater, a gray shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.
