Roof of Baltimore Shul Under Construction Collapses, Injuring 3 Workers [PHOTOS]

Emergency crews were called Tuesday when a portion of a Baltimore Shul under construction collapsed.

Baltimore City firefighters were called around 12:15PM to Khal Arugas Habosem – Rabbi Taub’s Shul, at 3509 Clarks Lane in northwest Baltimore.

According to Fox 5, one worker was trapped and firefighters were working on freeing the man. He was taken to the hospital with a broken leg. Two other workers were lightly injured.

The Shul has been under construction for some time.

  1. @takahmamash R’ Taubs shul has 2 building,s the small one and the big one. There was a machlokes over the future of the shul between the new rav (the old rav’s son) and his brothers over what to do with the shul properties. The decision was that the new Rav would move out of the smaller building, where the mikvah was. The bigger building, which collapsed, did not have a mikvah that the shul needed, and was structurally unsound. The reason it is getting a new roof in the first place is because the old one fell in last month. Then, the new one they were building just now fell in.
