TEHILLIM: Jewish Man Missing Since Purim Afternoon in Toronto

A search is underway for a Jewish man who left a Toronto-area hospital on Thursday (Purim) afternoon and did not return home.

York police have set up a command post at 200 McNaughton Rd in Vaughan to look for 24-year-old Simi Abrams. He was last seen on video entering/exiting a store in that area on March 21, shortly after 2:30PM.

Abrams left on foot from Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital at 12:30 PM on March 21 and has not been in touch with family since.

Police say he does not have access to a vehicle.

Const. Andy Pattenden says police and family members are growing increasingly concerned for his safety.

“If anyone spots him, please call us right away,” he urged.

The attached photo, obtained from video surveillance, shows the clothing that Abrams was last wearing.

Description:
• Male, white
• 24 years
• 5’4”, 140 lbs.
• Long, curly dark-colored hair
• Brown eyes
• Last seen wearing a white toque with a blue stripe, dark winter coat and jeans

Name for Tehillim: Shimon Alexander ben Chana Riva
