According to multiple media reports, the Norwegian Spirit cruise ship struck Pier 90, while coming into the passenger ship terminal at West 50th Avenue and 12th Street at approximately 9:00AM on Sunday morning. There were no injuries reported.
Numerous emergency agencies – including the US Coast Guard are on the scene, and evaluating the damage to the pier and ship.
According to WNBC, the ship was scheduled to depart later today, and it is unknown if that will still happen.
