Education Secretary Betsy DeVos has become the second Cabinet secretary to resign a day after a pro-Trump insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
In a resignation letter Thursday, DeVos blamed President Donald Trump for inflaming tensions in the violent assault on the seat of the nation’s democracy. She says, “There is no mistaking the impact your rhetoric had on the situation, and it is the inflection point for me.”
Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao tendered her resignation earlier Thursday. News of DeVos’ resignation was first reported by the Wall Street Journal.

I suppose she’s an anti trumper too, that’s what we’ll hear from his delusional supporters
She is a fool to end all fools. If she is indeed trying to help education and she has a great platform to do it- why would she resign that because of something that her boss did that she didn’t agree with? How is that going to help further education? Very foolish indeed. Who does she think she is trying to impress. I think she should go and join the “news” team at CNN. And by the way Trump never called for any violence rather he said to march peacefully. The fake news media is in full force as they are all very concerned about losing their jobs next week when Joe comes in. There will be nothing to report anymore because he can do nothing wrong. They will have to let many of these folks go.
