The House of Representatives is on track to impeach President Trump for the second time in 13 months — which would make him as the only president to receive the rebuke twice.
This time, though, impeachment could be bipartisan. Republicans all opposed the House vote in December 2019, arguing that it was politically driven. But now some GOP lawmakers are joining Democrats in pointing the finger at the president for using rhetoric that helped spark a violent insurrection at the Capitol last Wednesday that left at least five dead.
The impeachment resolution on the House floor Wednesday includes one article, citing “incitement of insurrection,” will be debated on the House floor. Sponsors of the resolution maintain they have the votes already to pass it.
The resolution states: “President Trump gravely endangered the security of the United States and its institutions of Government. He threatened the integrity of the democratic system, interfered with the peaceful transition of power, and imperiled a coequal branch of Government. He thereby betrayed his trust as President, to the manifest injury of the people of the United States.”

When riots burn down and destroy personal property and buildings of regular citizens, those “peaceful protests” are to be encouraged by Democratic poliiticans and anyone who objects is denying people their rights to free speech. Did ANYONE charge the president with incitement before the ‘invasion ‘ or only after the fact did everyone realize that the president is to blame? Also, if the president is the one that called for it, why did such a small minority of his supporters go along?

There has to be personal accountability, he cannot be blamed for what others decided to do.

@kinsler: Anyone who accuses the president of incitement or sedition is insane. However, I don’t really agree with your argument; they had no time to accuse the president before the invasion because they were all in session and it happened so quickly. There was no real in-between time.
Kinsler nobody charged the President with incitement before because everyone understood that there was no incitement, it is a lie and it is mindboggling how such a lie is being bought by so many grown up politicians including some Republicans and by President elect Biden who instead to unify the country he chooses to support the lies and the narrowmindness of the Democratic party politicians.
