8:45PM EST: YW-32 tells YWN that 2 medevac choppers havecollided in Flagstaff Arizona and killedat least seven people and critically injured three others. The mid-air collision occurred at approximately3:45PM Sunday near a Flagstaff hospital.
It is unknown if all the fatalities were on board the choppers, or if they were on the ground.
An FAA statement said that they do not know what caused the collision – and an investigation has been launched.
