President Biden’s new White House press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, has a long history of claiming things she doesn’t like are racist – whether she had evidence to back her up or not.
A New York Post analysis of Jean-Pierre’s tweets between 2015 and 2020 found 57 instances in which the new press secretary accused people, policies, ideas, or words of being “racist.”
Additionally, Jean-Pierre called ideas or people she didn’t like “racist” at least 43 times in TV appearances, according to Grabien, a video clipping service that provided TV hits from the first two years of President Trump’s term.
She openly referred to Trump as a racist, both tweeting “Donald Trump is a RACIST!” and telling an MSNBC panel about Trump: “If it walks like a racist, talks like a racist, acts like a racist, it is a racist and we have a racist president in the White House who really pushes his racism like a peacock.”
She also slapped the racism label on numerous Trump associates, including Steve Bannon, Sebastian Gorka, Jeff Sessions, Senator John Cornyn, Sheriff Joe Arapaio, former Virginia gubernatorial candidate Ed Gillespie, and others.
She’s also accused Fox News of being racist, AIPAC being racist, and Trump’s proposed wall along the southern border with Mexico as being racist.
Her accusations make sense, considering her ideology. Karine Jean-Pierre is a devoted follower of Critical Race Theory founder Kimberle Crenshaw, and has embraced the idea that “systemic racism” is present in just about every facet of the modern United States of America.

In all fairness, we Jews tend to see everything through the lens on anti-semitism. She (and many African Americans, defining the term to exclude African immigrants) see everything through the lens of racism.
Based on history, this isn’t all that unreasonable. And we joke that one isn’t paranoid if someone actually is out to get you, paranoia does tend to impair being functional within a society. The trick (which many if not most frum Jews haven’t fully mastered, and many if not most left-wing American Blacks haven’t figured out) is how to exist in a society that is highly bigoted and prejudice against you without becoming paranoid, and without becoming bigoted and prejudice yourself.
First of all, as press secretary, she represents the administration, so her views are irrelevant, whatever they may be. If she attempts to interject her personal views, then she should be fired.

Those very close to trump, for example, and worked closely with him for years have said he’s a racist, Michael Cohen, Omarosa etc
There is one thing missing from the NY Post’s count of the number of times Ms. Jean-Pierre has alleged that someone or something that is racist: the number of times she has been wrong. I think her accusations are mostly correct.

She is very much entitled to her opinion. Especially since she is not alone in calling those people racist. I’m not saying it’s necessarily true but she definitely is not off the mark. Funny how hypocritical we can be. Anyone who criticizes Israel or says something bad about Jews is called an anti-Semite. We can probably also make a long long list of everyone we call anti- semites, that is OK because we are convinced that they indeed are anti- Semites. Some Yidden honestly believe that all goyim are inherently anti- Semites they quote a midrash “halacha beyodua sheEsav soneh leYaakov” and inerpet this to mean that all goyim hate Jews. Thats OK.
