POWERFUL: Sarah Huckabee Sanders Hammers Biden in GOP Rebuttal to State of the Union Address

Newly installed Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders delivered the Republican response to President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address.

The former White House press secretary under Donald Trump used the platform to tear into Biden’s policies, contrast Republican objectives with that of Democrats, and push back against the woke culture that is sweeping America.

“In the radical left’s America, Washington taxes you and lights your hard-earned money on fire, but you get crushed with high gas prices, empty grocery shelves, and our children are taught to hate one another on account of their race, but not to love one another or our great country,” Sanders said.

“And while you reap the consequences of their failures, the Biden administration seems more interested in woke fantasies than the hard reality Americans face every day,” the Arkansas governor said. “Most Americans simply want to live their lives in freedom and peace, but we are under attack in a left-wing culture war we didn’t start and never wanted to fight.”

She also blasted the fact that “big government colludes with Big Tech to strip away the most American thing there is — your freedom of speech. That’s not normal. It’s crazy, and it’s wrong.”

And in what is probably the most memorable line from her response, Sanders said:”[Biden] is the first man to surrender his Presidency to a Woke Mob that can’t even tell you what a woman is.”

  1. She spoke very well. She also mentioned “at the grace of God”. She will definitely help out in New York and try to persuade the government not to force us exactly what to teach.

  2. 1) Sara Huckabee’s speech shall get the only דרשה worth listening to this evening
    2) ב”ה we shan’t have to be concerned that the sermon shall be ripped asunder this year

  3. ”The dividing line in America is no longer between right or left. “The choice is between normal or crazy.  It is time for a new generation of Republican leadership.”
That is the only true statement she made.
The Republican party is full of crazies and they have hijacked the party. They are all in leadership positions.
It is time for new Republican leadership but it won’t happen because it is full of crazies.

She was a liar in chief when she was the Press Secretary for Trump and she continues her lies. Republicans do not have a plan to do anything to help Americans. No plan for what she calls “out-of-control inflation , violent crime, the dangerous border crisis and threat from China”. Just watch what they have done since gaining the majority in the House. Nothing to resolve any of those issues.

Arkansas is ranked 48th in the country. She has nothing to be proud of with her state.
It ranks 41’st in Education . That is how she got elected
It is in last place for health care, 48th in crime and 45th in infrastructure.

  4. 1) He called Sanders’ speech “terrible.”

“If you’re gonna give a counter speech, you gotta talk about important issues,” he said. “Don’t get me wrong. The wokeism is very important. But it’s not quite the heart of the matter right now, right? It’s not the heart of the matter. She is not–and the reason is she’s just not–she’s not intellectually capable of going to the heart of the matter, right? Let’s be blunt.”

    Google who “he” is.

    2) It got pretty dark and weird,” Austin Bailey wrote in an editorial at the Arkansas Times. “A word salad of talking points and name calling, with some attempts at folksy relatability thrown in, Sanders’ rebuttal to Biden’s State of the Union address was light on policy, heavy on menace.”

    3) Conservative commentator Amanda Carpenter, a former aide to Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, contrasted Biden’s speech focused on “the economy and concrete issues” with Sanders’ “deep plunge into dystopian culture wars.”

“These annual canned rebuttals usually come off as tone-deaf,” she wrote in an editorial at the Bulwark, “but with Sanders, there was an additional, unexpected contrast with Biden. She spoke for a dreary 15 minutes — all scripted according to teleprompter, with no audience. Biden spoke for more than an hour, with a teleprompter in front of plenty of hostile Republicans. Biden, 80 years young, rolled with it, tackling every tough subject on his agenda, inviting Republicans to join him at every turn. Sanders, 40 years old, droned on, her entire speech devoted to demonizing Biden.”

    4) Former Republican strategist Steve Schmidt accused Sanders of “abusing” viewers with “MAGA lies.”

“Sarah Huckabee Sanders positioned herself as the voice of a rising generation of Americans. No thank you,” Schmidt said on his podcast. “It was stale. It was old. It was an ugly speech from a lying governor who is unfit for any type of public service.”
