MAGA OUT OF STEAM? Multiple Polls Finds Harris Leading Trump As Campaign Momentum Swings

Trump said Friday, Aug. 2, 2024, that he's pulling out of a scheduled debate with his likely Democratic opponent, Vice President Harris, and instead has agreed to a date earlier in September on Fox News Channel, furthering the uncertainty that the two will face each other on stage ahead of the November election. Kamala Harris now leads Donald Trump in three crucial battleground states, according to new polls published Saturday, apparently eroding the advantage the former president has enjoyed there over the past year.

The polls of likely voters by The New York Times and Siena College showed Harris leading Trump by an identical 50 percent to 46 percent margin in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Under the US electoral college voting system, those three populous Midwestern states are considered key to victory for either party.

The polls are a reversal of surveys in those states which for nearly a year had shown Trump either tied with or slightly leading Democratic President Joe Biden, who dropped out of the race last month and endorsed Harris instead.

Much can change in the nearly three months before the November 5 election. The polling showed voters still prefer Trump on the key issues of the economy and immigration, though Harris had a 24-point advantage when voters were asked whom they trust on the issue of abortion.

Democrats, in any case, have taken heart in the surge of enthusiasm that has greeted Harris’s candidacy, with many expressing relief after 81-year-old Biden stepped aside.

Her announcement Tuesday of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate also appears to have energized Democrats.

A new Ipsos poll shows Kamala Harris leading Donald Trump 42% to 37% in the race for the November 5 US presidential election. The poll, conducted August 2-7, found Harris widening her lead since a July 22-23 survey, which showed her up 37% to 34% over Trump.

The nationwide poll also found 4% backing independent candidate Robert Kennedy Jr., down from 10% in July. In a separate poll, Ipsos found Harris leading Trump 42% to 40% in the seven states where the election was closest in 2020.

  1. 1. The Democrats are still with the initial good will for a new candidate. When they have to take stands on matters such as D.E.I. (including the Democrats support of anti-Semitism) and foreign policy, they will run into problems.

    2. The Republicans do seem interested in shooting themselves in the foot, again. Trump picked a fight with the Republican leaders in Georgia even though Trump needs their active support to win. The Republicans mock the military record of a Master Sergeant (and acting Command Sergeant Major) with 24 years of service , even though Trump was a draft dodger and Vance was a marine corporeal who served in a war zone without getting into combat. And then Trump discussed the Olympics gender issue and confused someone with a birth defect with a “Trans”. One thinks that perhaps Trump really wants Harris to be win.

  2. The GOP has only themselves to blame. Mike Pence or Nikki Hailey would be crushing Harris. Instead of choosing a real conservative the GOP caved to the MAGA cult and chose a loser who lost the popular vote in 2016, lost the house in 2018, lost the Presidency and Senate in 2020 and turned the red wave of 2022 into a pathetic trickle. Trump is unfit to be president and most Americans recognize that. If only the GOP could find a way to push Trump and Vance out of this race and return to being a normal political party again. It’s time to dump Trump and make Conservatism great again.

  3. It is good that Americans are finally turning against the moral degenerate whose running mate voted against aid to Israel.

  4. This website has turned into a complete pile of steaming garbage.

It is certainly NOT under the auspices of Torah jewry.

    A true disgrace

  5. In Israel we all know polls are fake news and are based on who took them and what their political agenda is. Same may be said in the Excited States.

  6. Yeah right, and if you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you in brooklyn.

Dont forget, Madam President Hillary Clinton had a 91% chance of being president in 2016 according to the media and the “polls”…

MAGA is even stronger than it was in 2016 and just gaining momentum.

    #MAGA
