Flights to Uman from Israel May be Delayed or Canceled

breslov13.jpgDue to new regulations by Ukrainian officials, there may be problems for many of the 15,000 Israelis wishing to spend Rosh Hashanah at Rav Nachman’s Kever in Uman. The difficulties officials explained on Tuesday night will impact Sandor, Arkia and Israir flights, and may result in many being left behind, unable to travel to the Rebbe’s Kever.

YWN is working to obtain additional information regarding the announced complications regarding flights.

  1. That’s really a shame. This is so important to these people! It’s an honor to have the zechus to visit Rav Nachman’s kever. I surely hope all who want to spend Rosh Hashana there, can arrive timely and safely.

  3. emesvyatziv, if you plan to fly to Uman, I hope your preparation for travel is more expeditious than your typing, or you may miss your flight. lol

  4. baruch hashem the flights are cancelled.. noone should be leaving israel our land to go to ukraine during the high holidays and kal vichomer leave their families. this is shtuyot mamish shtuyot. we should be prayying on yom hadin in eretz yisorel where out tefilot go directly to hashem!

  5. #5—-what you wrote is shameful! It’s bad enough that is your position, but to blatantly brag and publicize it is sad! Why are you making comments degrading other Jews????? What is most important on Rosh Hashana is for a Person to daven where he feels his Tefilla will be most powerful.
Uman is a very special place. Dont knock the beliefs of other Jews—support them!
Regarding their families, I am certain most of their spouses are in full support of this tremendous Zechus they will get.

  6. It’s high time to bring Rebbe Nachman home to Eretz Yisrael, where he belongs & always wanted to be:
“My place is only in Eretz Yisrael —
המקום שלי הוא רק בארץ ישראל”
    Forget Uman!
