A senior unnamed PA (Palestinian Authority) sources quoted by Israel Radio on Monday afternoon stated there is no point in continuing negotiations with Israel at present since Olmert’s days in office are numbered.

The source stated that PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) is waiting for the new government to form in Israel before there can be a resumption of negotiations. He added that years of conflict cannot be resolved in two weeks, referring to the likely end of Olmert’s tenure as prime minister.
