YWN regrets to share the peitrah of Rav Yitzchok Layosh zt”l, a towering marbitz Torah and mechanech who inspired generations of talmidim across Yerushalayim, Budapest, and New York.
Rav Layosh zt”l was an extraordinary talmid chocham with a penetrating mind and a warm, gentle heart. Over the years, he influenced and uplifted thousands of Yidden, whether through his shiurim, his hadrachah, and chesed known only to those closest to him.
A son-in-law of Harav Meir Tzvi Fisher zt”l of Har Nof, Rav Yitzchok carried himself with the regal bearing of a ben Torah and the anivus of a true eved Hashem. Throughout a lifetime marked by difficult nisyonos, he remained steadfast in his emunah and bitachon, accepting everything with ahavah and strengthening all who turned to him for guidance and chizuk.
The levaya will take place today at 11:30 a.m. at Shomrei Hadas Chapel on 14th Avenue.
