Multiple Hatzolah ambulances erupted in flames in London’s Golders Green neighborhood early Monday morning. Footage showed at least four ambulances ablaze.
Surveillance footage from the scene captured three hooded suspects with gas canisters approaching the lot where the ambulances were parked and setting them ablaze. Additional footage captured the suspects fleeing the scene after carrying out their dastardly act.
Police and Shomrim have not yet identified the suspects, and an all-out effort is now underway to find them and bring them to justice.
Statement from Shomrim:
Shomrim NW London are aware of reports of loud explosions heard in the area within the past hour.
Emergency services are currently in attendance following a deliberate incident in which several Hatzola ambulances were set alight. The explosions were caused by oxygen tanks within the vehicles and were not the result of any bomb or explosive device.
Hatzola NW has confirmed that they remain fully operational and continue to deliver their essential emergency services without interruption.
We kindly ask members of the public to avoid the area to allow emergency services to work safely while enquiries and investigations are ongoing.
Although local buildings have been evacuated we can confirm there have been no casualties. Further updates will be shared as necessary.
