A construction worker was killed Monday in an accident at the site of the Mesivta of Clifton’s future home, which is currently under construction, authorities said.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Main Avenue and Homer Street in Clifton, when a boom lift truck overturned while being delivered to the site, crushing and killing the worker beneath it.

Emergency crews, including police, firefighters, and representatives from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), responded and remain on scene as the investigation continues.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim or additional details about how the accident occurred.
