MAILBAG: Mamdani Turned A Quiet Jewish Community Into Germany 1938 Last Night, And That’s Exactly What He Wants

This is an open letter to Zohran Mamdani and every elected official in New York City who supports protests outside synagogues.

When — not if, but when — there will be a terrorist attack carried out by your “Muslim brothers” targeting Orthodox Jews in New York City, after months of nonstop intimidation, harassment, and incitement against Jews, you will bear responsibility for helping create this environment.

America allows protests. Everyone knows that. There was an Israeli real estate event at a synagogue in Midwood last night. Protest it legally and peacefully. That’s your right.

But what happened last night went far beyond protest.

Masked mobs marched through the quiet residential streets of Midwood at 9:30 at night — nowhere near the actual event — simply terrorizing the local Jewish community. Families were frightened. Parents pulled children inside their homes. Kids riding bikes on a spring evening suddenly had to run indoors while marauding mobs flooded the neighborhood.

That is not “activism.” That is intimidation. When masked people tear through quiet residential streets with hardworking families who have nothing to do with an event these animals are alledgely protesting, screaming “DEATH” AND “KILL” at my children, this is no longer “protest”. This is straight up antisemitic intimidation and you are behind it.

And every politician who keeps excusing it, downplaying it, or encouraging it through silence is making the situation more dangerous.

You know exactly what kind of people are showing up to these demonstrations. You know the rhetoric being used, because you YOURSELF use it. You know the hatred being normalized. Yet instead of condemning it clearly, you continue empowering it.

You have turned peaceful Jewish neighborhoods into scenes many Jews never imagined they would witness in America.

If this escalates into violence — and everyone knows it can and will — the blame will not only rest with the people in the streets, but with the elected officials who encouraged the climate that allowed it to flourish.

New Yorkers see it. Jewish families see it. And we will remember who stood silent while our communities were terrorized.

You won’t care, Mamdani, since we know exactly who you and your wife Rama Duwaji really are. Not only are you socialists who are hellbent on destroying capitalism and American values, but you are both rabid anti-Semites. Your wife has publicly offered her life as a suicide bomber, and when you were asked about it, you ignored it.

You are a radical Muslim encouraging violence, You know it, you want it, and you will be held accountable when Jewish blood is spilled in a terrorist attack.

You have turned the quiet streets of Midwood Brooklyn into Germany 1938.

Great job, Brother Zohran. Mohammad is proud.

PS: Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, is not far behind. You will have blood on your hands as well.

Signed by a real, Midwood, Brooklyn resident, anonymously, out of fear, my home will be set ablaze.

  1. Sad reality beautifully presented! And there’s nothing we can do! Our turkey is cooked! Our elected officials are helpless!
ואין אנו לסמוך אלא על אבינו שבשמים

  2. It is unfortunate that Mamdani and the likes are voted in. There has been much effort invested in getting people to go out and vote. This is the result of the crazies voting more than the Jewish population. לב מלכים ביד ה but ultimately we have to do more hishtadlus to get people to the polls. EVERY 18+ should be voting and no longer does it make sense to vote DEMOCRAT in NYC.

  3. What these protesters are doing is causing exactly the opposite effect. Many people I know are now seriously thinking of buying second homes in Israel. I myself decided to buy in what they call the West Bank. Jerusalem is too expensive but you can get a nice villa with land in land that’s post 1967. If you want a community there is Beitar and other Chareidi post 67 areas. Let’s move a million Jews there. Every chassidus should get from the government an area of a thousand acres and let them built their group with villas and shuls and yeshivas etc. The land should be free and thus the housing prices will be cheaper. The areas there are growing as the inner cities like Jerusalem, Bnei brak and Beth shemesh are highly priced and becoming apartment dwellings instead of one and two family homes. Things look very good in Israel as terrorist will be subject to death penalties. Slowly things are changing. Chareidim are increasing and so is other religious groups. The truth is many people buy from the many ads on local Jewish magazines various Israeli apartments. You also need to bring in Asian workers instead of using Arabs. My son had his entire home he bought upgraded with Chinese workers. The Chinese boss of his company speaks Hebrew and Chinese. That’s how he directs his Chinese crew. They did a beautiful job. The answer to these protesters is buy and invest in houses throughout Israel for your family and grandkids.

  4. I live in one of those communities being auctioned off to rich American investors. Frankly, I would protest together with the Palestinians. These investors are destroying are communities and making it impossible to us to afford nearby housing for our children. What used to cost $350,000, now costs $1,500,000. If they would actually make Aliyah. But that is not what is happening. Instead, these investors simply buy an apartment sight unseen, which jacks up the price. In the end they hire and agent who rents it out to whomever has the money. The renters often aren’t suitable families. They destroy our communities. I’m sure this started with the greedy contractors and their agents who see it as an opportunity to make big $$$. Bucks they couldn’t drag out of poor Israelis.

  5. r u kidding , u call abunch of bored teens GERMANY???? stop crying wolf , had there not been counter protest and publicity this wouldve been nothing , everyone went to shul normally .. what does mamdani have to do w this ? i dont like him but dont send him the bill .. in america there are freedoms and thats the takeaway

  6. איזהו חכם הרואה את הנולד
Now is the time for every Jew in the midwood area to arm himself with bats pistols rifles and be prepared for the onslaught if those bastards terrorists get wild teach them a lesson Don’t wait till that happens and cry then you got the warning prepare yourself NOW and be ready. Remember Rabbi Kahanas words every jew a 22 just like they can get themselves together and organize terroristic protests you can do exactly the same and be prepared to defend yourself properly.
    ואם לא עכשיו אימתי
Don’t expect the police or the authorities to help you or defend you they will be ordered not to interfere they will just be watching and sitting like lame ducks because that’s the order that namdani is going to give them organize protective groups now.

  7. Wake up and smell the coffee, brothers and sisters! It’s time to see the writing on the wall. You cannot change the outlook of a hateful leader—just imagine Jewish people sending letters to Hitler condemning his ideologies; it would have been a total waste of ink. The time has come to stop talking and start strategizing our relocation to our true homeland.

  8. Well stated. Excellent letter. The YWN disclaimer it does “not necessarily represent those of YWN” is puzzling even if it standard policy, as it allows the possibility YWN doesn’t agree with the author. This is a situation that the our community should support without any hesitation.

  9. Vote Blakeman…. People have to learn that their actions have consequences. Always vote Republican . Democrats are garbage.

  10. How nice to see the Nazi Kapo quislings were “helping” the local Jewish community and well represented in support of our bloodthirsty enemies.

I’m sure the NK scum who post so enthusiastically on YWN also participated.

  11. We are not helpless. Never. We have a right to be legally armed, trained, & ready.
When we stand our ground, the bullies detect we no longer believe we are helpless.

And of course, Hashem is always with us. He does however expect us to do our part.

  12. We made aliyah last year and love it here in Israel. In many case you can bring your work with you. As Flatbush Yid was discussing buying a home in Y & S. This is what we did. We get a lot more bang for the buck. You do need to learn Hebrew regardless of where you will be living here in Israel since you be interacting with lots of people beyond the community that you have chosen to live in.

  13. thank satmar they voted for him!
keep your passports valid and ready, though with most airlines not flying to Israel
all we can do is daven

  14. Immature hyperbole. A bunch of immature “adults” on both sides. I went to learn as usual. By the time we finished Maariv afterwards, the entire protest was over. I watched the videos later in the evening. Gornisht mit gornisht. The pro Palestinians were nothing more than fat overweight transgender white trash. You could see their colored hair thru their head coverings. Just the typical hired losers that get paid a few pennies to protest whatever the issue and flavor of the evening is.
The real problem I have, is why did the organizers davka arrange to have the meeting right in middle of the Frum residential neighborhood??? They knew they were going to have a demonstration outside their event! Literally next door to a women’s mikvah, in the evening?! The organizers are the ones who should be taken to task for this disturbance. I guess what I’m saying doesn’t fit the narrative.

  15. I forgot to say, the people I associate with here in my yishuv are always asking me when I will be “bringing more people here?” We are always excited to hear of others making aliyah. In the yishuv, we are generally more informal. Save your suits, ties, pressed shirts, and black hats. We wear our tzitzas out and peus long. Most of the Ashkenazi Beit Knesset use nussach Sephard. Here is a very family friendly kid safe environment. You don’t have Benny’s pizza.

  16. 147 NYS is a sanctuary state and last week Hochul made even more laws against ICE, plus Schumer the leader of the Jews in the US has said he will shut down the government a 3rd time before he gives # to ICE whom he and Nadler (a yeshiva graduate) compared to the Gestapo so NYS is a sanctuary state which then senator Felder and Assemblyman Eichenstein voted in support of a few years back.

  17. while I am not a Zionist I find it repulsive that Satmar had so many of its yeshiva graduates at this protest in SUPPORT of Hamas, even if they claim these are not Satmar they went to Satmar yeshivas. I wont donate to Satmar mosdos now.

  18. You don’t have to like Mamdani. But these protests were happening under Adams and before Mamdani was even relevant. Blaming one guy for all of it is lazy .
You’re mad about masked people intimidating families in residential streets. When ICE was rolling through neighborhoods doing the same thing to other families, a lot of the same crowd had nothing to say. Either intimidation in residential areas is wrong across the board or it isn’t.
This whole letter reads like someone who watches Fox News all day and just regurgitates whatever talking points they’ve been fed. “Socialists destroying capitalism.” “American values.” “1938 Germany.” It’s the same recycled script every time. You didn’t write an open letter, you copy pasted a Sean Hannity monologue and slapped a Midwood address on it.

  19. Most protesters are paid in cash between $50-$100 an hour. They wear masks because they don’t want to be associated with being paid to protest as it would harm them with employment and possibly allow ice to identify them and arrest them.

  20. This is how it starts first they walk through and intimidate and then another time someone gets attacked. With all those masks nobody will know who did it and Jewish blood is cheap anyway. The city couldn’t care less

  21. @chaimkeh : It’s called Yishuva Haaretz and supply and demand. You should be celebrating that more Jews want to buy property in EY instead of complaining what it is doing to your property value.

  22. @kiddushhashem1:
Going from what is not even a “frying pan” to what is far beyond a mere “fire”, is not very rational.

Actually, if you read what the Torah sages wrote about that time, they did initially engage with that genocidal madman and would have gotten good results if not for the actions of certain “Jewish” “leaders” both at that time and afterwards.

  23. There is things you can do. You guys remember the westboro church lunatics used to protest against Jews. Well one shabbos they planned to come to Boro park on 14 ave at 52 st at the shomrei emunah shul. Well the community leaders told everyone to stay away. But about 300 young chevra came out. I knew if these guys are allowed to come they can hold all kinds of signs against Jews and there were many police to protect them. Here is what I did. I walked over to this white Irish Sargent who had a black cop standing with him. I told him we have signs that read blacks are slaves according to the bible. He got very nervous. He went to the outskirts of Boro park and told the westboro protesters that he can’t promise their protection as there are too many Jews. They left and went to a reform temple in park slope. We need to make some very strong signs that will put the media on edge. Maybe a sign that reads Mamdani hates Blacks and his wife calls them niggers.Stop racist Mamdani the hater of Bblacks and Jews. Imagine the media going crazy.

  24. You made your bed.
Why are you whining? An election comes, HITLER is on the ballot. He’s elected. You’re still there. Who cares who won? The fact that YOUR WHOLE CITY VOTED HIM ON, means without him….your fellow NEW YORKERS LOVE HITLER. You think we’re smarter here in Israel? Ray Charles could have seen this one coming.
Wahhhh. Like Germany. WHO’D HAVE THUNK IT?
    SHUT UP.
    GROW UP.
It was like Germany first a while…
Shuls locked up (cause its the last place in Shmutz LaAretz where we congregate, DUH!).
Can’t go out at night…IN FLATBUSH!!!
    REALLY?
Its like watching a train-wreck, in slow motion.
    WE LEARNED.
    NEVER AGAIN.
SHSME ON YOU for bringing children into the streets of BERLIN…because the TANKS don’t happen to be rolling up your block.
    WHERE ARE THE COPS?
    SHUT UP.
    WHERE IS HASHEM?
    Orchestrating everything.
    We understand, here in Israel.
    No really.
You just got your wife a new marble countered kitchen….you redid the bathroom.
I tell ya what…I NO LONGER ASK “HOW DID WE LOSE 4/5 OF US…”
    IN EGYPT
IN HOLOCAUST (6 million is 4/5 of the 7.5 million in Europe)
But i do realise the new kitchen…
Priority over common sense a Black family would have, if the KKK came marching up their block, and the COPS were at Sunday Mass.
You’ve got a lot of explaining to do to your kids, and the next generation that survive your foolishness, Bezrst Hashem.
Sleep with dogs…..wake up with fleas.
    No brainer.
The shame is…you may deserve the leaders (rabbis?) that no longer talk about Eretz Yisrael anymore…just like the leaders on the desert. Why become a nobody in the Land Hashem promised us…when im bringing in a fortune here?

  25. Chaimkeh – maybe you should send your message to the organizers of such gatherings, or get such messages to those who attend them.
[to YWN- several times when I try to post a message, even though it says I’m logged in when I post the message it tells me I must be logged in. Frustrating. Can you fix this?]
