Bais Bracha (Karlin Stolin) High School in Boro Park will be closed on Wednesday due to the Swine Flu outbreak, YWN has learned.
The schools info-line states the following: “The High School will be closed on Wednesday [May 27]. Pre-school & elementary will be open as usual. If any of your children have any flu-like symptoms, please keep all your children at home.”
It is unknown if there are any suspected cases of the Flu in the school, which is located on 10th Avenue near 43rd Street.

Oy vey.
Any confirmed cases there?
its a regular flu nothing to be worried about just ask your regular Doc. I don’t understand why YWN as adding fuel by covering it as breaking news.
no confirmed cases, i don’t get it, if they’re closing the high school because of precautionary measures, why keep the elementary and preschool open, this just doesn’t make sense!! i have a feeling the school took the opportunity to close a day early for yom tov and was embarrassed with its decision so it blamed it on swine flu!! If this is the case, and i strongly suspect it to be, shame on them for alarming the community!!!
Hey isha ksheira,
I do not know any details of this story yet, although I have several relatives in the school. But, you took a broad swipe at the school, possibly being choished biksheirim.
I think your “isha kesheiraness” status, is on hold, unless you are proven to be right -:)
yochi, you may have relatives, but i have children there. i kept my other kids home for precautionary measures!
Its common knowledge that Bais Brocha gives off the least! BTW: There are some cases of the flu in the High School only.
There are 3 confirmed cases in the tenth grade. The elementary school stayed open because none of these three have siblings in the elementary division.
Also, the H.S. is in a different building!
