As has been reported, and now confirmed, Central Intelligence Agency Director Leon Panetta announced the United States has been aware of Iran�s Qom reactor facility for three years, receiving intelligence reports with the assistance of Israel, France and Britain.

He told Time Magazine that American intelligence first became aware of the facility in 2006, adding it is built into a mountain. What tipped off the Americans is the fact that Iran deployed an anti-aircraft battery next to a mountain, prompting intelligence officials to begin questioning and probing the move.
