NYS Senator Kevin Parker’s Assault Case To Move Forward

Brooklyn State Senator Kevin Parker appeared in court Friday for a pre-trial hearing on assault charges.

The judge found there is sufficient evidence to move the case forward.

Parker is accused of going after a New York Post photographer last May, breaking his camera and damaging his car. He’s also charged with criminal mischief and harassment and was stripped of his leadership posts in the Senate as a result.

He is due back in court on May 21, where the judge is expected to set a trial date.

Parker faces up to seven years in prison if convicted.
