PHOTOS: Monsey Hatzolah Rescues Seven People From Friday Night Blaze


[PHOTO LINK BELOW] Seven people were displaced after an early Shabbos morning blaze struck a home at 66 Main St., Ramapo police said.

The fire was reported at 1:50 a.m. and arriving officers found the home partially engulfed in flames, Sgt. Blaine Howell said.

Monsey Hatzolah recieved frantic calls reporting an elderly couple trapped inside. Upon their arrival, they assisted in evacuating the couple, and an additional five people sleeping in the home on Friday night.

Hatzolah transported a total of 3 patients to local hospitals for smoke inhalation, including the Monsey Hatzolah “Shabbos Goy” – who risked his life while running into the building to aaken the sleeping residents.

According to LoHud.com, the fire does not appear suspicious, but its cause is being investigated by Ramapo police detectives and the Rockland County Bureau of Criminal Investigations.

Hakodosh Boruch Hu’s plan of rescue for the occupants of this house dates back to approximately 15-20 years ago when the windows of the entire house were changed. Previously the windows of the upper story were so small that no human being could have possibly escaped from them. THESE
