Paper’s editor calls for prez candidate to step down

tt1.jpgIn regards to Former Wisconsin governor and Republican presidential hopeful Tommy Thompson’s remarks made a few days ago about Jewish people (quoted HERE on YW), an editor in a Milwaukee newspaper called on him to step down:

If Tommy Thompson’s presidential run isn’t over, it should be. And this has nothing to do with his relatively light campaign chest. His remarks about Jewish people and tradition Monday revealed him simply to be ill-suited to the presidency.

Speaking to the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism in Washington, D.C., Thompson said, “I’m in the private sector, and for the first time in my life I’m earning money. You know, that’s sort of part of the Jewish tradition, and I do not find anything wrong with that.”

  1. its amazing how one stupid remark can change someones life this guy could never be president, when your president you gotta think out every word this guy obviously is not very good at that

  2. He’s never going to ein the primaries, hes never going to be president, is al sharpton our guide of how to act in golus? come on, drop it.

  3. I think we should all write to the paper telling them he said nothing wrong. We could tell them as yidin and not like others, we dont get ba’laydikd by all things that are said.

  4. I saw a JTA piece, this guy spoke to Jews and was so unprepared he called the ADL the “Jewish Defense League” and talked about how he bought “Jewish Bonds” [Israel Bonds to the rest of us]. He is clearly a clueless buffoon, not an anti-Semite. He should drop out for his own good.
